Thursday March 30th, Vault of Midnight Detroit will be screening Barry Gordy's glamorous Kung-Fu spectacle "The Last Dragon" at the Skillman Branch of the Detroit Public Library.
Back by popular demand, it's Vault of Midnight's franken-toy extravaganza! Spend an afternoon with our hobby gurus breathing life into your very own, 100% original creation. All the craft supplies your little heart could desire and the expertise to boot will be provided, all for a meager $20 entry fee.
The Force has been awakened once again. A surreptitious stirring is sweeping the Galaxy, awakening hope and passion in even the most unsuspecting hearts. It is a clandestine phenomenon and it is known only by the name Star Wars Destiny.
You have all been doing such a great job lately, we feel you've earned a night full of good people, drinks, and a stack of the most fun board games! January 23 Vault of Midnight Detroit will be taking over Checker Bar for our monthly Game Night.
Calling all children of woman- or dragon-born, bard and barbarian alike. There may be no better way to spend a wintry Michigan evening than destroying goblins round the hearth. While the winds howl outside, join us at Brewery Vivant for a cosy evening of roleplaying, cosplaying, libations, and general nerdy merriment!
On Saturday, November 19th, take some time to celebrate your favorite local purveyor of comics who or wherever that may be. Just swing by and give them a high-five, a wink, or share a romantic plate of spaghetti with them by candle-light. Oh, and did we mention there will be some ultra-exclusive merch and some dope give-aways? Well, there will.
You asked, and we heard you. Vault of Midnight Ann Arbor is teaming up wit Shinola to tear up game night in style. Operation Game Night is a go.
The hotly anticipated, first-ever-Vault-of-Midnight-Detroit game night is here! Join us on Monday, November 7th from 7-9pm at Queens Bar for what will assuredly be the best game night Vault of Midnight Detroit has had yet!
For many centuries now, since the earliest French settlers laid the cornerstone of Detroit, a mischievous red imp known as the Nain Rouge has been spotted at the center of mysterious accidents and chaotic mayhem. Every year, the citizens of Detroit march against this devilish harbinger of doom, striving to cast him out of the city, and hopefully bringing freedom from his troublemaking ways. Now, the myth of the Nain Rouge is retold in a spooky graphic novel, "Nain Rouge: The Red Legend."
We at Vault of Midnight want to make sure that everyone knows the story of the Nain Rouge so we can band together and defeat him. Join us on October 7th for a book signing with author Josef Bastian and artist Patrick McEvoy at Vault of Midnight Detroit from 7-9 pm. We'll have copies of "Nain Rouge: The Red Legend" to have signed, and the party will continue at The Queens Bar immediately following the signing. Help us tell the tale of the Nain Rouge, and meet these creators, but be careful: you never know when the Nain Rouge will strike again!
We are very proud to host a roster of creators featured at Detroit's own MECCAcon. The phenomenal writers and artists will be posting up at Vault of Midnight Detroit for an evening of signings, chats, knowledge, comic-talk.
Drink and Draw is back just in time for the dog days of summer! This one is for all of you bar-napkin savants, you web-comic-ers, you dabblers, dawdlers and you doodlers alike. We invite you to join us on August 23rd at Bill's Beer Garden for a night of great company, conversation and collaboration.

Pokémon Trainers Actually Needed:
Vault of Midnight is completely overrun with Pokémon. This sounds like it would be cute and funny, but it's serious. Have you ever found a Snorlax napping in your bathroom? It is not cool, it is very invasive.
Thus, we would like to offer a 10% discount to any trainers who come visit our shop on Sunday, July 17th from 1:00-3:00p. So we know that you are the real deal (and not a member of Team Rocket) please wear a shirt that corresponds with your Poké team. Represent Team Instinct (yellow), Mystic (blue), or Valor (red) and come mingle with your fellow trainers. See that picture above? Just like those dudes.
And if you happen to be around at 2:00p, we'll be taking a big picture of every trainer we can find, both for the memories and also to display openly as a warning to these horrible monsters.
Though it may seem impossible--and against all odds--Vault of Midnight will be twenty years old in a few weeks. From beginnings so-humble-you'd-think-we-made-them-up to opening our third shop: it has been a wild ass ride. Check out that picture above: that was the first Vault of Midnight! I'm trying not to cry right now!
Join us for a hang out with the award winning critic, anthologist, writer, and all-around bad ass Anne Elizabeth Moore as she celebrates the release of her newest work Threadbare: Clothes, Sex & Trafficking.
Some of the comic book's industry's biggest talent descend on Ann Arbor for signings, presentations and discussions, "quick draws," and more.
This event is completely and totally full! If you would like to be added to a waitlist in case any spots open up, please contact Vault of Midnight with your name, phone number and email address, and we will add you to the queue. And stay tuned, we may be having another Drink & Draw very soon!
Drink and Draw is coming to Ann Arbor this June. This one is for all of you bar-napkin savants, you web-comic-ers, you dabblers, dawdlers and you doodlers alike. Finally, an event to unite Ann Arbor artists of all calibers, for drinking, drawing and over-all merriment (and not necessarily in that order).
