It's here, the best day of the year! Free Comic Book Day! Doesn't the thought of it just make you feel all fuzzy inside? If so, you might wanna see a doctor and get that checked out. Free Comic Book Day is celebrated by comic shops worldwide on the first Saturday of May every year and Vault of Midnight is determined to host the greatest Free Comic Book Day ever!

From 10 am to 10 pm on Saturday May 6th, our Free Comic Book Wall will feature a full stock of free comics for both adults and kids to dig into! For new readers, this is the perfect opportunity to discover the wonderful world of comics! For all you old schoolers who think you've seen it all, this is your best chance to discover great new characters and titles!

Aside from all the super cool happenings inside the store, we will have all sorts of super cool happenings on the sidewalk as well. Hype Screen Printing will be on site live screen printing exclusive Vault of Midnight shirts only available in Detroit! Each shirt will cost $10 and will be magically screen printed with a custom design right before your eyes! Ohhh! Heck, you can even bring your own piece of apparel and for $5 Hype will screen print right on it! Also on hand will be local comic publisher Rotland Press and local artist/writer Francis Kulikowski. These superstars will be slinging some of the best locally created books and merchandise including the dark humor filled "Black Eye" and "Bitch I Know You Heard Me", a powerful anthology of stories about experiences from local women creators.
